Updates from Cities, Communication Highlights, and Next Steps
The SET-PED project continues to move forward across pilot cities, with important progress on local activities, communication efforts, and upcoming milestones. Below is a snapshot of the latest updates and what lies ahead.
🌍 Updates from Pilot Cities
Mascalucia
Activities in Mascalucia are progressing well, the current focus is on organizing the local workshop. The technical assessment took place on the 6th of February. Rosaria Volpe hosted the delegation of Imottesjo for a round-trip and a visit to the site for prototype installation at Parco Monte Ceraulo in Mascalucia. These steps will be key in advancing the pilot’s implementation phase.

Eskilstuna
For Eskilstuna, it was confirmed that the prototype implementation is planned for March 2026. The city also offers a strong opportunity to connect SET-PED with other ongoing local initiatives, particularly projects addressing circular economy themes. These synergies are expected to strengthen both the pilot and wider project impact.
Bucharest – Sector 6
In Bucharest Sector 6, a workshop held in October marked an important milestone. The event included site visits to three locations and engaged architecture and urbanism students. Following the workshop, a location was selected based on:
high and diverse daily use,
strong potential for solar integration,
good visibility and urban relevance
🤝 Upcoming Face-to-Face Meeting
We are excited to announce that the 2026 SET-PED face-to-face meeting will take place in Eskilstuna on May 26th-27th!
🚀 Next Steps
In the coming weeks, the consortium will:
continue close coordination across pilot cities,
strengthen dissemination through website updates, social media posts, and DUT channels,
ensure that SET-PED knowledge, results, and outputs reach a broad audience.
So, stay tuned! 😎Together, we’re building strong momentum for the next phase of SET-PED! 😊
