Students’ voices in the SET-PED co-creation process in Bucharest

As part of the SET-PED project, the Bucharest team continued the co-creation process together with students who previously took part in the workshops dedicated to developing ideas for the future urban furniture prototype.

The video presents the local partners involved in the Bucharest pilot, Urbasofia and ÎntreVecini, and highlights the perspectives of the students who contributed to the creative process. Through their reflections, the video shows why young people chose to participate in SET-PED, how they would like to remain involved in the next stages of the project, and why the participation of local stakeholders is essential when designing urban furniture for public spaces.

Their answers underline the value of collaboration, local knowledge and community engagement in creating solutions that respond to real needs. By involving students, neighbours, local actors and project partners, SET-PED supports a more inclusive and grounded approach to urban transformation.

The Bucharest prototype is not only a design exercise, but also a shared process of learning, testing and building together with the community.
